This is the first step we do in the subterraneans of a city.
Is the first example of a site-specific project that we want to develop, everytime the same, but different at the same time, in the underground worlds of the cities that want to host us.
Everytime with the aim of filtering the essence of a place and return it in the shape of body and rythm. Everytime with the willness and the hope of finding something new about the place and return this newness to the people who lives above it, everyday, maybe unconsciously.

In these deep and obscure spaces a faraway echo arrives.
Here the memory of the city above exudes and dips: the multiple times of the human experience join the gelogical and immemorial time of the water and the tuff.
Down here, forty meters below the noise and the life, in these enormous, dark hollows, empty and silent mirrors of the world up on the surface, you have the feeling of facing ruins.
These ruins are anyone’s memory. They’re the memory of a whole community: they appear to those who pass through in the form of a forgotten past, a past out of mind, that still can say something. A past of beauty, increasingly far, dim, unreachable.
We move inside this space, we ourselves ruins of people that once has been; and we seek and seek, until we forget everything at all.
