| Lev This show is one of the most surprising things appeared on stage in the last few years: built with an extreme delicacy, it shows subtle nuances of meaning, giving birth to a lacerating spectrography of the interiority of that individual and his confusion.. We’re all like Lev, everyone’s life disposes itself on sudden changes and erasures, a constant grasping and holding onto fragments destined to oblivion, moving between violent and involuntary emersions of erased traces of our past. And the show is a painful paraphrase of our constant fumbling in the world, in history and in our confused and dusty inner lifes. Antonio Audino Delteatro.it A language reduced to the minimum thickness and, on the opposite, a tytanic energy. While that “memory defect” that has to be scanned transform itself into an excruciating dramaturgic element. The futuristic scene moves the actor like in a videogame, among echoes of memory (of the spectator this time) from Kubrick and Tarkovskij: but the dancing physicalness of the performer reappropriates far mythologies (cinema as Gagarin) in order to suggest us other destionations of thought and vision. A “small” performance” in dimensions, but a tormenting and extensive work at the same time. Edgar Davidian L’Orient Le Jour Thanks to the extreme elegance and poetry that animates the scenic images of Muta Imago, the work of this young company represents an important ring of conjunction between a theatre of research and another kind of theatre that insistently tries to bring back humanity with its baggage of emotions at the centre of his doing and saying. Graziano Graziani Carta The young company invent a refined and innovative theatre where the human reality is unfolded and narrated through images that are built on stage and the continuous and displacing dialogue between space, body, matter and word. Ilaria Mancia Il Mucchio Selvaggio Muta Imago win full marks for their innovative use of simple elements like flour, lamps and plastic screens and there were sufficient magical moments to win the piece a standing ovation from various attendees at Masrah al-Madina. Matthew Mosley The Daily Star The work on the double, the emotions, the loss (…). These guys are an absolutely maintained promise of the young Italian theatre. Carlo Orsini Rolling Stone A group that knows how to move in the restless territories of research, invention of the space, using dramaturgies that touch original and innovative hypotesis. Lev is a very refined show that confirms the quality of the group: the protagonist’s solitude reflects itslef in beautiful, moving, amazing images: fragments of the past, remembrances of the glorious soviet conquering of the space, childhoos suggestions, lost loves. Andrea Porcheddu delteatro.it Lev represents the result of a big dramaturgic maturity dued to a meaning choice strongly supported: that of working through correlative objective, that is to say, through the only language capable of presenting the codes not in their dazzling evidence, but on the basic of their effects, cleaning up the show from the contradictory meanings – in which trap the spectator would surely fall - and leaving only the exposition of the collapses towards which the human machine moves.
